Wonderful old cookstove shot in an abandoned farmhouse in the RM of Great Bend , Saskatchewan ,Canada ...amazing it had not fallen through the floor into the basement as I had to tread very lightly to get the shot :)

Is there some tread left on those tires, or is it just like throwing a hot dog down the hallway? Family Guy
A little sandblasting and chrome work ...would be wonderful restored ..Thanks Toady for the :+fav:

This is cool. Just how many of these places are there up in your area?

And if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know.
Having to travel a little furthur all the time to find more , but there are quite a few within a 30 mile radius of my farm, most of these places were built by Ukrainian settlers between 1890 - 1910 as a quarter section of land was available for 10 $ at that time ..Thanks for your comment and interest

What a gorgeous stove. Can't help but snicker that there's still a can on it.
Maybe the stove stood just so that you could come and photograph it...

Wow, what a treasure. After photographing it, I'd be trying to figure out a way to get it into my Sportage and take it home. I love old things like this. Good thing you didn't end up falling through the floor - although that would make for a very interesting series, I'm sure... ;)

Wow, it would be wonderful if you could get that out of there. It would make a beautiful piece when restored. Wonder what's in the basement?
